New York City Travel Guide
The Big Apple. New York City. With its bustling streets and iconic landmarks, there is so much to do in NYC that it’s virtually impossible to see everything in one visit. Basically plan on at least 4-5 days to get the main highlights of the city and make a targeted list of your absolute must-dos. Getting Around New York City If you want to be like the New Yorkers, you will be walking everywhere. I know that my feet were hurting every day I was there. The best alternative to avoid walking is to take the subway as it costs $2.75 per ride and the trains run 24 hours a…

A Weekend Guide to Carmel By the Sea
This quiet sleepy town on the California coast looks like it was pulled right out of a fairytale. I’ve been to Carmel by the Sea or just Carmel many times with family and friends. It’s right next door to Monterey, Point Lobos State Reserve, a 17-mile drive, Pebble Beach, and more. Where to Stay in Carmel There a plenty of local boutique hotels, Airbnbs, and family-run inns to choose from. On my last girls’ trip, we stayed at Carmel Bay View Inn and had a great time. There was plenty of space in the family suite for the four of us, equipped with a mini-fridge, small living room, fireplace, 2…

Wine Country Weekend: A Guide to Paso Robles
I honestly had never heard of anyone I know visiting Paso Robles before I took a girls’ getaway. And then what really caught my attention was a Tik Tok showcasing Sensorio, a beautiful light show in the middle of a giant field. This is a perfect location for a three-day weekend getaway from either Northern or Southern California with plenty of wineries, places to eat, and things to do. In this blog post, I’m going to highlight the places I checked out as well as places I didn’t get a chance to visit during my stay. Just another excuse to visit again! Where to Stay We stayed at Oxford Suites…

How to Have a Weekend Getaway in Napa Valley
Growing up in the Bay Area, Napa is the best (and easiest) weekend getaway destination. Gorgeous, picture-perfect vineyards, bikers along the riverfront, and a wine list bigger than the menu, Napa doesn’t disappoint and every visit feels like the first. This guide is a curated list of my favorite places and by no means an exhaustive list. Where to Stay Note: Napa is a general term referring to the entire Napa Valley region (roughly from the town of Napa all the way to Calistoga). There are multiple well-known towns along Highway 29 that many wineries sit along including Yountville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and Calistoga. Choosing a hotel is a personal…

Top 5 Beaches in Los Angeles, California
If there was one thing about Los Angeles that would keep me coming back, it would be the beaches. Now I know the beaches aren’t as nice as Hawaii or as serene as Costa Rica but they have a different vibe that just gets me excited – from the street music and performers to the little Mexican fruit carts to the cool ocean breeze. Santa Monica Beach and Pier Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade is by far one of my favorite beaches in Los Angeles. Sometimes it feels like I’m taking a stroll with Dr. Addison Montgomery ( Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice) while grabbing some coffee. There…

Top 8 Places to Visit in Downtown Los Angeles
Downtown Los Angeles was known as a no go area years ago, noted for its crime and rampant homeless situation. But after living in L.A, I found the DTLA to be vibrant and fun – with great street art, cool nightclubs and amazing restaurants. The Broad The Broad is a contemporary art museum consisting of 250 contemporary works of art in an incredible 120,000 square footage of gallery space. Admission to the museum is free but tickets are required through an online reservation. The most popular work of art (and most Instagrammable spot) is the Infinity Mirrored Room which requires a separate reservation. Up to two individuals can enter the…

Best Things to Do in Los Angeles, California
In 2019, I took a leap and decided to move to Los Angeles for work. I wanted to give myself the opportunity to see everything Los Angeles had to offer and it didn’t disappoint. I went to comedy shows, sports games, drove the Pacific Coast Highway, got stuck in traffic and even met some famous people (Simu Liu Kim’s Convenience). Now I’ve traveled to Los Angeles a bunch of times before I decided to move there, mostly to visit family or Disneyland. It definitely takes a bit to get used to but this city has something to offer everybody. So if you’re making a trip to LA soon and want…
